Nature and Wildlife

Sri Lanka has a history that dates back oAs an island Sri Lanka is abundant with nature and wildlife. We enjoy a rich bio-diversity along with an abundance of fauna spanning wetlands to plains to dry areas. It is due to this bio-diversity that we have more than 80 species of mammals, along with a massive number of reptiles, birds and amphibians. It is no wonder visitors flock here to see wild elephants, leopards and bears to mention a few, along with the many birds that grace this island. The country has a host of endemic species that are well worth coming to see.
